
Dr. Laurence Wong

Dr. Laurence Wong was born in Hong Kong, China, and moved to Houston in the early 90s. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology 1996 from the University of Houston.
Dr. Wong completed his doctor of optometry program at the University Of Houston College Of Optometry (UHCO) with Magna Cum Laude in 2002. While in optometry school, he participated in myopia research programs where he was selected as a National Institute of Health (NIH) summer research fellow and a student presenter at the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) meeting.
Dr. Wong received his clinical externship training with Dr. Charles A Garcia at the St. Josephs Hospital in Houston. Upon graduation, Dr. Wong began his career in the Katy area, and after several years of serving the community he decided to make it his home. He enjoys all aspects of vision care including astigmatic and mutlifocal contact lens fitting. Currently, Dr. Wong also serves as an adjunct faculty at the University Of Houston College Of Optometry.
In his spare time, Dr. Wong enjoys watching soccer games. His favorite soccer teams include Houston Dynamos, Chelsea and Manchester United from the English Premier Leagues.
